Below is a chart of my monthly running mileage for the past 8 months.
I begun making a concerted effort to run more after the end of my triathlon season in early October. A lingering cold and travel hampered this effort, but since late November I feel like I have been running an awful lot at over 50k per week.
And it seems that this additional running has improved my race times.

At first I thought that was weekly mileage but then I came to my senses.
More running = more better. I'd agree with that.
These are decent miles number given your intensive swimming and Cycling :-)
I suppose for many of the runners I train with, these are closer to weekly rather than monthly mileage figures.
Yet for me, even this mileage seems like a considerable amount of time and stress on my legs.
Presumably there is a diminishing return on the benefits of increased mileage, but I have to think I am down on the steeper side of that curve.
